Who Will Be #100?

Wow, what an honor… The Gathering Dead stands at 99 reviews on Amazon! And even better, most of them are positive.

Who will write #100? I hope it’s a good one, but even if it’s not, it’s surprising to make it this far. I swear, sometimes I think I’m dreaming!

EDIT: And the 100th reviewer is: Steve Green! And it was a five star review, too. Thanks so much!

Congrats Stephen. All the positive reviews are well deserved! Perhaps someday, there’ll be another great milestone…. Stephen Knight’s 100th book. Afterall, the only thing hungrier than the zombies you’ve written are the readers who follow your work. 100 or so books would go a ways in keeping them happy. You’re relatively young, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

And again, your non-zombie books are just as good as your Gathering Dead series. Personally, I’d vote for a full length Hackett book for the next effort…. might be an interesting blog post/poll to query what your readers would like next. Just to see the responses… we know the numbers would say another Gathering Dead book. I for one would like to see how that very last chapter shaped a certain character.

So much more to tell in a number of your books. ๐Ÿ™‚

Just came back from my holiday in Singapore and other S.E. Asian countries.

Although born and living abroad, I am Singaporean and have served National Service. I just was dumbstruck by the chapter on which you wrote obout the invasion of stenches in Singapore. I was most impressed of your street knowledge of Singapore, knowing what Ah Beng and Ah Lians are.
Have you stayed in Singapore before? Where did you get all that info?
Did Singapore get overrun in the end?

Hats off for both volumes, they really made holiday in Singapore extra pleasant!

P.s I am not happy with ending in the last pages. You are way too humble for your work. Your books are excellent. I even notice myself behaving military at work!
Keep up the great work Stephan!!!!!

      Hey, Jack!

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the Lion City, and at one point I knew it fairly well. I do plan on writing further about the invasion of Singapore in a follow-on Gathering Dead novel that details the city-state’s struggle against the stenches, but that likely won’t happen until next year. I’m sorry you didn’t care for the ending of TRH:2, but hey… bad things happen to good people!

      Thanks for your note lah!

Hi Joe! Can’t tell just yet, but 2014 would be the earliest, with 2015 looking more likely. So you have to stay healthy! ๐Ÿ™‚
