You Know You’re Old When…

…you can remember watching this on TV in 1978…but you can’t remember why you were home on a Saturday night in 1978.

That is all.

I was 2 and was probably gearing up for Battle Star Galactica.

Ah, too young to have seen the glory of Charlie’s Angels first hand, then! Truly, you missed out.

Very much remember Battlestar…and Charlies Angels, Bionic Man, etc.

Who saw the original Star Wars in a drive in theatre in the back of the station wagon?

…and when grown ups could smoke…everywhere!

Hell, I remember all that! I didn’t see Star Wars at a drive-in–I saw it in a theater in Los Angeles–but I did see tons of other movies at a local drive-in, like Phantasm, City on Fire (I’m sure I was the only one who saw this), Halloween, Buck Rogers, The Spy Who Loved Me…etc., etc. Good times, especially in the summer if us hooligans had been able to steal a case of beer from the local drive through liquor store.
