Bon Voyage, Ray
Science fiction legend Ray Bradbury has embarked on a new journey. According to USA Today, the writer of such speculative fiction classics such as The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 died Tuesday night at the age of 91.
Bradbury was one of my entry points to science fiction. I met him once, albeit briefly, at a Cisco Networkers conference in Los Angeles in 2001. He was an affable man, very congenial and very pleasant in real life. Well, at least to me.
Bon voyage, Ray. Thanks for sharing your incredible intellect and thought-provoking stories with us.

RIP to a great one.
I really loved this guy’s work, moreso than most of his contemporaries, such as Asimov and Clark. A real shame he’s left us, but at 91, he had one hell of a run.
Oh so jealous you got to meet him!
